Invictus DVD Review

Invictus DVD

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of Invictus to review. Invictus is about Nelson Mandela, after he became president of the much divided country of South Africa. The movie shows Nelson (played by Morgan Freeman who was nominated for an Oscar for this role) trying to reunite the country through the country's rugby team. Nelson urges his country to forgive each other and work together. Mandela speaks to the national rugby team captain (played by Matt Damon who was a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nominee) to lead his squad to win the World Cup and thus uniting his team and the country.

Here is the Invictus Movie Trailer.

As you may be able to tell, Clint Eastwood (who was named 2009’s Best Director by the National Board of Review) directed the film. I think this movie has the "feel" of Clint's other movies. Things flow nicely together and it's an uplifting story. I really enjoyed this movie. It is touching, exciting, and wonderful. I also enjoyed seeing some cute kids in the movie when the rugby team does some coaching clinics with the local children. It is a really good movie.

Invictus is now available on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, On Demand and for Download!

Check it out and own it on DVD now. You should also sign up to get the inside scoop on WB movie & DVD releases with WB Reel News!
