Pamela's (Yummy) Products Review

More than 3 million people in the US have Celiac Disease (the inability to digest gluten), 1 in every 166 people have Autism, and 1 out of every 6 adults has a food allergy. Pamela's Products makes goods that are gluten-free (which is recommended for those managing Autism) and wheat-free. I have been able to try some delicious goods from Pamela's Products! I got Chocolate Cake Mix and Vanilla Frosting Mix to make cupcakes! The "divine mix makes two luscious layers of deep, dark, rich cake. Pamela's Luscious Chocolate Cake will transport you to chocolate heaven. Pamela's Vanilla Frosting Mix makes a rich, creamy, and delightful frosting. Crafted from premium all natural ingredients including organic powdered sugar, it's the sweet beginning to a variety of irresistible icings." Both mixes are wheat-free, gluten-free, and non-dairy!

Using the silicone bake cups I received in the Valentine's Day Blogger Swap I made some great heart-shaped cupcakes! I was a bit curious if the mix would look any different since it's non-dairy. It does look a little more lumpy, to me. Here is a picture of the cake mix batter before being baked so you can see for yourself.

I was also a bit skeptical that it would turn out looking and tasting ok. Here is another picture of the cupcakes, when they came out of the oven.

As you can see, they turned out perfect! While they were cooling I set to making the vanilla frosting. The frosting turned out a bit more lumpy than I'm used to, but it could be because I didn't use enough water in the recipe. Either way, the cupcakes still looked great! Here is a picture of the cupcakes with frosting!

These were some of the best cupcakes I've ever tried! I let my parents try them (I did this on a weekend where we were snowed in together) and didn't tell them they were non-dairy or anything different. They didn't even notice that they were different! Both of them said they were very good (I did leave the frosting off of dad's because he is not a fan of frosting)! Once I realized how much they liked them I didn't even bother telling them that they weren't your typical cupcakes!

Chunky Chocolate Chip

I also got to try the Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookies from Pamela's Products! Pamela's Products calls it "comfort food at its finest" and I have to agree! They are wheat-free, gluten-free, and non-dairy. I wasn't sure what to expect from these cookies. They are bit different in texture than your regular cookie, however they are still delicious! I thought they tasted wonderful... I didn't share these with anyone; I ate the whole box! I also must say that I liked how they were packaged with individual sheets in between each cookie!

Pamela's Products aren't just for people with dietary restrictions; anyone can enjoy them! I would recommend Pamela's Products to everyone!

Disclaimer: I received the mixes and cookies for free for this review. No other compensation was received. The opinions expressed are my own.
