Twenties Girl Review

Twenties Girl Book

I recently received a copy of Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella! Sophie Kinsella is an international literary phenomenon, a New York Times bestselling author, and one of today’s must-reads. She knows how to create smart and very funny female characters that speak directly to a wide and enthusiastic readership. Now hot off the heels of this spring’s box office hit Confessions of a Shopaholic, Kinsella returns with an enchanting new stand-alone novel, Twenties Girl. Full of the engaging heroines, impeccable comic timing, and endless optimism that infuse her fiction, Kinsella now adds the elements of fantasy and a dash of mystery to this story of two young women—separated by time—who are both trying to set their lives right and find their way in the world. Sophie Kinsella’s Twenties Girl is the perfect literary escape which delivers all the touchstones of her bestselling fiction—the heartfelt moments, laugh-out-loud escapades, and sparkling characters—that millions of readers have come to love.

I loved Sophie's sense of humor throughout the book! The character's witty remarks to each other are perfect! The reader can't help but fall in love with both women, even if they might seem overly dramatic and annoying at times (especially to each other). Also, being a fan of history, it was interesting to hear about the 1920's culture and fashion. This story should remind us all to be nice to old people. It also teaches us that just because we want something doesn't mean it's the right thing for us! I enjoyed this book and recommend it!
