Invictus DVD Review

Invictus DVD

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of Invictus to review. Invictus is about Nelson Mandela, after he became president of the much divided country of South Africa. The movie shows Nelson (played by Morgan Freeman who was nominated for an Oscar for this role) trying to reunite the country through the country's rugby team. Nelson urges his country to forgive each other and work together. Mandela speaks to the national rugby team captain (played by Matt Damon who was a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nominee) to lead his squad to win the World Cup and thus uniting his team and the country.

Here is the Invictus Movie Trailer.

As you may be able to tell, Clint Eastwood (who was named 2009’s Best Director by the National Board of Review) directed the film. I think this movie has the "feel" of Clint's other movies. Things flow nicely together and it's an uplifting story. I really enjoyed this movie. It is touching, exciting, and wonderful. I also enjoyed seeing some cute kids in the movie when the rugby team does some coaching clinics with the local children. It is a really good movie.

Invictus is now available on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, On Demand and for Download!

Check it out and own it on DVD now. You should also sign up to get the inside scoop on WB movie & DVD releases with WB Reel News!

Valentine's Day DVD Review

Valentine's Day DVD

I received a copy of Valentine's Day on DVD for review. Directed by Garry Marshall, Valentine’s Day entwines multiple storylines that everyone can connect with on Valentine's Day. There are surprises, kisses, dancing, flowers, and more! It's really hard to describe the storyline. It's full of so many characters and plots. However, most of them come together for a happy ending. The amazing thing is that it has 19-stars in it!

Here is a clip from the movie for you to watch and enjoy.

I watched Valentine's Day with my boyfriend. We were amazed by how many stars showed up in the movie! According to Warner Brothers, Valentine’s Day stars the Academy Award® winner Kathy Bates, Jessica Alba from "Fantastic Four", Jennifer Garner who played in "Juno", Bradley Cooper from "The Hangover", Jessica Biel who was in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry", Emma Roberts from "Hotel for Dogs", Eric Dane star of "Grey's Anatomy", Patrick Dempsey from the movie "Enchanted", Hector Elizondo famous for the "Princess Diaries" films, Academy Award® winning Jamie Foxx, funny guy Topher Grace, the Academy Award® nominee Anne Hathaway, the hilarious Ashton Kutcher, Award® nominee Queen Latifah, the heart throb Taylor Lautner from "The Twilight Saga", George Lopez from "Beverly Hills Chihuahua", the wonderful Shirley MacLaine, the beautiful Julia Roberts as well as the award-winning Taylor Swift, in her film debut. Wow! Isn't that awesome?

We both enjoyed the movie. It had some pretty funny parts. With so many characters/couples, everyone can relate to the movie. I especially liked the kid (Edison) and the older grandparents. I think both are really cute!

My copy of the DVD also come with some bonus features that included:

o Exclusive Sex and the City 2 sneak peek trailer

o 14 Deleted Scenes with Intro from Garry Marshall

I really liked getting to see the Sex and the City 2 trailer. I'll probably watch that movie with my mom when it comes out! My boyfriend and I enjoyed the deleted scenes. We watched them with the introductions by the director. There was some funny ones and cute ones. I had no idea they had done so many interviews for the news part.

Overall, it's a very cute movie with some funny parts. Valentine's Day is Available on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, On Demand and for Download 5/18, that's today!

Check it out and own it on DVD now. You should also sign up to get the inside scoop on WB movie & DVD releases with WB Reel News!

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air: The Complete Fifth Season Review

Fresh Prince of Bel Air: The Complete Fift Season on DVD
I recently received the Fresh Prince of Bel Air: The Complete Fifth Season on DVD to review from Warner Brothers, which came out May 11th! This season was extra special because it's the season where Will meets and falls for Lisa. He also gets engaged to her! This season is full of laughs with random predicaments and funny situations! The 4-disc set has 25 laugh-out-loud Season 5 Episodes of the hit show that gave sitcoms street smarts. Check out a clip from Season 5 below!

I thought this was a very funny season! A season wouldn't be complete without Carlton dancing, it's one of my favorite parts of the show. I was pleased to see his dancing early in the season! I just love it! This might be because I have my own goofy dance (I bet you didn't know that).

I liked the episode where Will distracts Jazz during a poker game while telling a made-up story dealing with the Mob and hiding in the backwoods. It just cracks me up! I also thought it was interesting to see Will dress up in a fat suit in epsiode 11! It's all kinds of funny!

Overall, it's a funny season. It has all the characters you've come to love from past seasons, with the addition of Lisa. I don't know what else to say, except that you should check it out and own it on DVD now. You can also get the inside scoop on WB movie & DVD releases with WB Reel News!
